Graduation of the first batch of future dentists at Purvanchal Institute of Dental Sciences is a matter of great pride and joy to all of us who worked hard to make this dream project a reality. As far as I am concerned, being one of the senior Orthodontists of the state and belonging to a well renowned dentist family of the country, it gives me special spirit and joy because of the fact that it is an actualization of a dream handed over by generation to generation. The eastern part of the state of Uttar Pradesh is still lacking in dental care facilities and there is a woeful inadequacy of dental surgeons. There is hardly any research work being done to keep the people informed about the latest developments and technologies in the treatment of dental problems. Shree Rama Educational Society has made it possible to fill this gap. The lamp of knowledge, which Shree Rama Educational Society has lighted, will thus throw its beams of light in the path of sound health to the country at large and the people of Uttar Pradesh in particular.
